Frequently Asked Questions  (Programs )

Q: How much do social groups cost?

A: We are happy to share that our social groups are completely free for participants. These groups are made possible through the generosity of our donors, who help us ensure access and inclusion for all families.

Q: Where are your social groups located?

A: Functional Friends has partnered with SouthBrook Christian Church located in Miamisburg, Ohio where we currently offer our social groups. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all families feel welcome and valued. SouthBrook provides a wheelchair accessible environment for all families, as well as open treatment spaces to foster social development and friendships. Address: 9095 Washington Church Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342

Q: Are you a part of SouthBrook Church?

A: Functional Friends is an independent organization. While we partner with Southbrook Church for facility space and community collaboration, we are not owned or operated by the church. Our programs are secular and inclusive, welcoming children and families from all backgrounds.

Q: How can I sign up for social groups?

A: Learn more about our social group programs and offerings here, and sign up here. Please note that spots are limited. We will confirm your child’s placement via email or notify you if they are on the waitlist. If you know in advance that your child will be unable to attend two (2) or more sessions within a registration block, please refrain from registering for this block, and try for a session later in the year when you will be able to attend more frequently. Our groups often have waitlists, and we aim to ensure access for as many families as possible.
